Below Deck Alum Josiah Carter Is Engaged

Reality TV

Oh, happy day! Everybody’s favorite Below Deck second stew Josiah Carter is engaged to long time love Michael Groves. Now this is one Below Deck coupling I can get behind.

If you don’t remember, Josiah popped onto our screens during the sixth season of Below Deck with his proper English accent and butler training. Yesss! Not only that, but even the Queen of Snark herself, Kate Chastain, liked him. Although to be fair, if your third stew is Caroline Bedol there’s not a whole lot of competition.

We were this close to his return during season 8, thanks to the debacle that was Elizabeth Frankini and James Hough. If only Captain Lee Rosbach had fired her sooner, or you know, the Corona virus hadn’t happened.

Josiah also let it be known he would have been happy to join the cast of Below Deck Mediterranean. Most specifically, Captain Sandy Yawn, chief stew Hannah Ferrier, and deckhand Colin Macy-O’Toole. He thinks they make yachting look fun. I think he might not be watching the same show as the rest of us. While Hannah definitely takes more breaks than Kate, there’s a whole lot more pent-up passive aggressiveness between that cast. But that was Season 4, and all good things must come to an end.

It turns out Josiah never ended up return to the yachting world, and instead has been booed up with Michael for the last four years. The couple already share a dog and will soon be grandparents. Michael’s son from a previous relationship is expecting a baby with his girlfriend.

According to ETJosiah took to Instagram to share his happy news. “He asked, And I Said Yes,” was posted on the ex-stew’s stories. He also shared several pictures of the moment, and celebration afterwards, writing, “We’re engaged!”

I’m not the only one who’s super excited for Josiah. Several of his castmates and fellow Below Deck alums commented with best wishes for the couple.

Below Deck Med stew Julia d’Albert-Pusey chimed in, “HUGE congratulations I can’t wait for the ‘engagement party’ both beautiful.”

“Awwww this is so perfect!! Congratulations Josiah and Mike… let’s have champersss in Mallorca sooooon,” wrote Brooke Laughton.

Even Josiah‘s deckhand of perfection, Colin, chimed in to congratulate him. “Yea boyeee! Congrats!!”

Seems to me that Josiah would have quite the positive reception on Below Deck Med should he desire a return to the high seas. But for now, it looks like he’s got a wedding to plan.

TELL US- WERE YOU A JOSIAH FAN? WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE JOSIAH RETURN TO BELOW DECK IN ANY ITERATION? WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY TO JOSIAH AND MICHAEL TO CONGRATULATE THEM?
