Pusha T has released “Diet Coke,” a new song that’s was teased earlier today. It’s co-produced by Kanye West and 88-Keys, and it prominently features the voice of Fat Joe yelling “yesterday’s price is not today’s price.” Listen to it below
In a recent conversation with Complex, Pusha T said, “I’m on some one thousand percent rap superhero shit, man.” He continued:
In that same conversation with Complex, Steven Victor—the former chief operating offices of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music and also the former executive vice president and Head of A&R at Def Jam Recordings—said, “The Pusha album is coming sooner than you think. And we’re dropping back to back to back. You know when the President comes to town and they have the procession and all that, and the trucks, and it feels never-ending? That’s how we’re coming this year. Tonight, we’re leaving here and going to the studio. We’re working on Donda 2. We’re putting the finishing touches on Pusha’s album.”
Since releasing the Kanye West-produced Daytona in 2018, Pusha T has released the singles “No Problem,” “Sociopath,” “Coming Home,” and “Puppets (Succession Remix).” He’s also collaborated with Babyface Ray (“Dancing With the Devil”), Black Thought (“Good Morning”), Divine (“Jungle Mantra”), Mako (“Misfit Toys”), Swizz Beatz (“No Patience”), and many others.
Along with the music, Pusha T launched the Third Strike Coming Home Campaign, an initiative to free people serving life in prison under “3 Strikes” drug laws.
