Julia Fox can’t seem to beat the criticism from Keeping Up With The Kardashians fans that she’s copying Kim Kardashian. Julia is currently in a highly public new romance with Kim’s estranged husband, rapper Kanye West. Kim’s ex, with whom she shares four children, has been accused of using the Uncut Gems actress for media attention. Kim is, after all, in a high profile fling of her own with comedian Pete Davidson. As Kim and Kanye’s divorce war wages on, both stars have seemingly used their new lovers to one-up each other. Kanye and Julia have been all about the spectacle since they got together, leading many fans to point out moments Julia has appeared to play copycat with Kim’s look.
As Kanye did with Kim when they began their relationship, the rapper appears to have given Julia a major makeover since they started dating. Julia revealed in a chat with Interview magazine that Kanye put together a one-of-a-kind experience for her on their New York City date night, complete with a hotel suite full of designer clothes and photoshoot at an upscale restaurant. Now that the Yeezy fashion mogul is playing dress-up with his new muse, fans can’t help but compare Julia’s looks to Kim’s famous style moments. But Julia is speaking out against those claims.
Julia took to Instagram to show off a bold style choice earlier this week, E! News reports. The actress was seen wearing a blue breast plate that appeared to be molded to Julia’s signature curves, which she paired with blue pants and a silver handbag. Fans with a keen memory recalled Kim donning a breastplate look for her Opals collection for KKW Fragrance. Many accused Kanye’s new girlfriend of ripping off Kim’s look, but Julia was quick to address the comparison.
“FYI I wore this on Halloween 2021,” Julia wrote on her Instagram Story. Her intention wasn’t to emulate Kim’s fashion sense, in fact, ”I was supposed to be a slutty Smurf,” she wrote. Julia added that she forgot to post the look from months ago. The now-deleted slide has since been replaced with a praising message from a fan on Julia’s Instagram, who wrote that by outspoken Julia “doing and feeling everything she was not supposed to, paved her way to be a proud recipient of the world’s rewards now.”
While it may be a coincidence that Julia and Kim run in similar fashion circles, the similarities in their relationships with the “Runaway” hitmaker are clear. Many of JuliYe’s new steamy PDA moments captured by paparazzi resemble the early days of the KimYe honeymoon phase in the 2010s. As Kanye moves on with his new It Girl, fans won’t forget the rapper’s grand gestures toward his ex wife seen on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
