Boston Calling 2022 Lineup Announced: Metallica, the Strokes, Foo Fighters, and More

Boston Calling 2022 takes place from May 27-29 on Memorial Day weekend in Allston, Massachusetts. Today, the festival’s lineup has been announced. The headliners are Metallica, the Strokes, and Foo Fighters. Haim, Run the Jewels, Japanese Breakfast, Weezer, Modest Mouse, Avril Lavigne, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Cheap Trick, EarthGang, Black Pumas, Orville Peck, Cults, Goose, Glass Animals, Horsegirl, Hinds, Sudan Archives, Pom Pom Squad, and more are also performing. Following the release of their 2021 album, Foo Fighters are gearing up to release the horror movie Studio 666. The band has also shared the new song “Fraggle Rock Rock” for the Apple Original series Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. Listen to Foo Fighters’s “Fraggle Rock Rock” below.

Metallica recently enlisted an all-star lineup of musicians for their Black Album anniversary reissue. The Strokes’ last album was 2020’s The New Abnormal.
