Lala Kent has been doing some some reflecting. Since the messy breakup with finance Randall Emmett, the Vanderpump Rules star has been doing the rounds, trashing Randall left and right. She’s called him a cheater, a narcissist, and the worst thing that’s ever happened to her. But with some perspective, she has found a new respect – not for Randall, but for his ex-wife, Ambyr Childers.
The two didn’t always get along, with Ambyr famously telling Lala in so many words to back off posting pics of her kids on social media. Ambyr wrote a message to Lala on Instagram in 2019. The message stated, “Since you don’t want to answer my text messages, I’ll try here. Lala, I appreciate your love towards my children, but until you’re officially their stepmother please refrain from posting my children on social media! I hope [you] understand where I’m coming from. Many thanks.” Ambyr and Randall were married for 8 years and share two children together.
As reported by Us Weekly, Lala recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live to finally show Ambyr the respect that she has deserved for years. Lala said, “I feel like our road was very bumpy, as you know, and I can understand why. I have a lot of compassion for her. I think she is a great woman and a great mom. I will be honest — I think she is the best thing that ever happened to that guy.”
Lala claimed that her breakup forced her to rethink how she thought about Ambyr. She admitted, “I just think the way that he and I came to be, looking back on it, was so gross and messy and just something that was built on nothing but lies. Knowing what I know about her, I think she was a good one and he messed up.” Yes, messed up. WITH YOU, “allegedly.”
Over the course of their five year relationship, Lala formed a close bond with Randall’s kids. Since they split, Lala revealed she doesn’t know how the kids are doing. She said, “From what I have heard it has been hard for them. I don’t have any communication with them at this point in time — which is very heartbreaking.”

As for the downfall of her relationship with Randall, Lala points to the pictures that surfaced of him spending time with other women in Nashville. Lala claimed that the cheating had been going on for “quite some time” but that’s what caused her to throw in the towel. She told host Andy Cohen, “It has been kind of repeated behavior that I have found out about, and it is not just one person. It is many. I believe that it started after I got sober. I don’t know how I didn’t see it.”
Lala added that she was suspicious of all of his phone usage. She dished, “It was glued to him. He couldn’t even go into a massage without his phone on him and he would get very funny if I would get near the phone. That should have been a huge red flag to me. And the constant being gone, he was just never around. But I thought, ‘Who would creep around with him?’ I really thought that.”
