Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach invites players to explore the massive Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex, and once they obtain the shoes upgrade, they’ll be able to cover much more ground as they flee from Freddy’s Glamrock friends. Like the other upgrades in the game, the shoes are optional, and they’re hidden in an area of the mall that players may not even pass through during their playthrough. Nevertheless, the shoes are one of the best upgrades in the game, and it’s well worth making a special trip to find them.
The shoes upgrade gives players a significant speed boost, allowing Gregory to sprint away from the menacing animatronics and evade capture much easier. This upgrade is one of the best ways to increase Gregory’s movement speed in the game. Combined with the Fizzy Faz stamina upgrades and stealth-boosting Hoodie, players can give Gregory a significant advantage as he finds a way to escape. Unfortunately, FNAF: Security Breach players won’t be able to find them until after they reach the Roxy Raceway area after 5:00 am, but they provide a welcome upgrade as Gregory tries to survive his final hours in Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex.
Before Gregory can get to the Roxy Raceway, he’ll have to decommission either Chica or Monty to upgrade Freddy using their parts. This huge indoor go-kart track can be found by entering the garage door beneath the Sodaroni sign on the second floor. However, before facing off with Roxy, players must make a slight detour to grab the shoe upgrade.
Where To Find The Shoes Upgrade In FNAF Security Breach
Before heading to the Roxy Raceway in FNAF Security Breach, players will find another area in the Sodaroni hallway known as the Glamrock Beauty Salon. The entrance to this optional area can be located on the right side of the Sodaroni hallway, whereas the Raceway will be on the left, which makes the Glamrock Beauty Salon easy to miss. Unfortunately, there are a ton of security bots in this area. While Gregory can make a mad dash for the door, there’s a passageway to the left of the entrance that will allow players to sneak past the security bots and enter the salon through a back entrance.
Once inside the salon, there’s a storage room in the back to the left of the stage and beneath the neon “Hair and Makeup” sign. On the right side of this room, there are two doors on either side of some blue and orange lockers that lead to bathrooms. The shoe upgrade can be found under the sink in the bathroom on the right. Fortunately for Gregory, these shoes make it much easier to outrun Roxy and escape Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex when morning comes.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach is available on PC, Playstation 4, and Playstation 5.
