Caroline Polachek and Christine and the Queens will join Charli XCX on Saturday Night Live this week, a detail they revealed on social media a day ahead of the performance. They released “New Shapes” together last month. Paul Rudd hosts the episode tomorrow night (December 18), the last SNL of 2021.

Charli’s SNL cohort will also include Luis Aponte, the drummer for Philadelphia-based hardcore act Jesus Piece, as Stereogum notes. He caught the attention of Charli’s management team through video of Jesus Piece performing at a Pennsylvania VFW hall over the summer. Prior to “New Shapes,” Charli released the single “Good Ones” in September. She’s also revealed that her next record is titled Crash, and it’s out March 18.
