The Mission Creek Festival is returning to Iowa City next year, with Beach Bunny, Soccer Mommy, and Arooj Aftab among its headliners. Squirrel Flower, Ohmme, Son Lux, Ric Wilson, Adia Victoria, and Aaron Dilloway will also take the stage during the festival, which runs April 7-9. See more information here.

After releasing her latest album Vulture Prince April, Aftab earned Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Global Music Performance for “Mohabbat.” Squirrel Flower has a new EP on the way titled Planet, while Soccer Mommy released the new songs “Rom Com 2004” and “Kissing in the Rain” this summer following 2020’s color theory.
