Real Housewives of Orange County is only one episode in and we are already being given the gift of good drama. All thanks to Shannon Beador. I mean, it’s easy to hate her for sneakily telling castmates Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter explosive info about “friend of” Nicole James. Specifically, that Nicole is suing Heather Dubrow’s husband, Terry Dubrow for a botched boob job.
But, the real problem is that Shannon told Emily and Gina and let them do the dirty work of telling Heather when Nicole shows up at her party. The episode ended with “to be continued….”
But despite Shannon being in hot water with the rest of the cast, she seems to have taken to newbie Noella Bergener. Shannon recently told Entertainment Tonight that she was skeptical of Noella. Especially since Noella was brought in by (now former) friend and ex-castmate, Braunwyn Windham-Burke.
Shannon said, “OK, first of all ‘was’ is an operative word, because I don’t think they are friendly anymore. I was a little bit weary, thinking if they were such [good] friends…. but I did find out an important piece of information: that Braunwyn told Noella that she made up the ‘Shannon said Gina’s house is sad and depressing’ [comment from last season], so I’m exonerated! Finally. I didn’t say it.” Sigh. Why is Shannon still talking about this?
But unfortunately for Noella, during filming, her life crumbled and her husband filed for divorce, seemingly taking Noella by surprise. Shannon shared of Noella, “I believe that she’s an open book, and she has a lot going on in her life as we start the season, and I feel sorry for her. I empathize with her, and it’s, it’s tough. She’s blindsided and I can’t imagine being in that position.”

Of course, Shannon knows a thing or two about your marriage breaking up on camera. We all watched through the course of a few seasons the demise of Shannon’s marriage to David Beador. Luckily, she got rid of that chip-eating cheater and is happily dating businessman John Janssen.
But Shannon can still relate. She added, “Our circumstances are a little bit different, and to be honest with you, I think she was blindsided more than I was, and that’s why I have empathy for her — and I still do have that empathy.” Shannon also noted that she “tried to” help Noella through becoming part of the public eye.
What a departure for Shannon, who has always taken forever to warm up to new castmates. But I think this season, Shannon has no choice but to find an ally for herself. But will Noella fall for it?
