Jax Taylor Wrote A Children’s Book

Reality TV

There’s truly no person like Jax Taylor, at least on TV these days. The Vanderpump Rules OG is a perpetual teenage boy. Yes, he’s made one or two (dozen) questionable decisions in his time, but he finally seems to have somewhat grown up (aside from, well, a couple of issues with the IRS). He and Brittany Cartwright have been going strong, aside from their rocky road to the altar. He’s a dad now and loving life. And even though he “left” Pump Rules, he insists he didn’t want to keep filming anyway *eye roll*.

Jax’s whole identity post-VPR is being a dad. And making sponsored posts, but that’s beside the point. His little baby Cruz truly is adorable and it’s nice to see a softer side of Jax, considering the reputation he’s built over the years. Jax has been crossing his fingers that he and his other fired Pump Rules castmates would get a spinoff show, but that dream seems to be floating further and further away. So for now, he decided to take a chance at becoming an author. That’s only natural for Bravolebs out of the spotlight.

Jax spoke to Access Hollywood about the children’s book he wrote, which is dedicated to his father who died in 2017, Cheat Sheet reports. Jax has made it very clear that his dad’s death was extremely hard for him, so it’s a sweet gesture to make a book about him. “Not just any book, I did a children’s book,” Jax said. “I was extremely close to my dad.”

Jax added that now that he has a son, he wants to find a way to incorporate his late father into his life. “So I did an homage, kind of like a love letter to my son about my father. I’m really proud of it,” he added. He also gave the synopsis that the book is “about what an amazing man he was and how I plan on raising my son like how my father raised me.” The book will be released sometime next summer, so more details are to come.

I know we all love to clown on Jax and, trust me, I am guilty of it too. But I have to give him credit for this. He has tried at a handful of passion projects from cocktail mixers to sweaters, all of which flopped. This seems like something very near and dear to him that allows him to direct his emotions in a positive way and I have to support it. Even though Jax will always be Jax, and I think he’s pretty self-aware of that, to be honest.
