Britney Spears showed her appreciation for Lady Gaga after the House of Gucci star celebrated the end of her conservatorship.
Gaga, 35, shared her words of support for Britney, 39, Thursday evening (18 November) as she walked the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of the Ridley Scott flick.
Freshly freed from her conservatorship, Britney shared a short clip of the actor telling ET Canada: “The way that [Britney] was treated in the business was really wrong.
“And the way women are treated in the music industry is something I wish I could change.”
Britney, Gaga added, will “forever be an inspiration to women”.

“Thank you @LadyGaga for genuinely taking the time to say something so kind,” Britney said in an Instagram Story Friday evening.
“You made me cry !!! I love you !!!”
Gaga later shared a selfie in bed with the caption: “Love you @BritneySpears.
“Live your best life. I prayed for the legal system to treat you like a person. You’ve now changed the industry forever.
“You stood up for yourself and were so brave. Thank you.”
Britney reposted the interview only moments after she blasted fellow pop star and former childhood friend Christina Aguilera.
Aguilera, 40, was pulled away by her publicist when asked by a reporter to address Britney’s newfound freedom while at the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards.
“No, we’re not doing that tonight,” her publicist interjected. “I’m sorry. Thank you, though. Bye!”
As she was escorted away from the press line to head to her performance, the “Dirty” singer said: “I can’t, but I’m happy for her.”
“Refusing to speak when you know the truth, is equivalent to a lie !!!!” Britney fumed in an Instagram Story.
“Thirteen years being in a corrupt abusive system yet why is it such a hard topic for people to talk about ??? I’m the one who went through it all !!!!”
Her Disney’s The Mickey Mouse Club co-star did, however, speak out publicly about Britney’s conservatorship on social media in June.
“It is unacceptable that and woman, or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live life as they wish,” she wrote in a six-part Twitter thread.
“To be silenced, ignored, bullied or denied support by those ‘close’ to you is the most depleting, devastating and demanding thing imaginable.”
Britney was at long last liberated from her nearly 14-year-long conservatorship earlier this month, with a Los Angeles probate judge declaring that the arrangement was “no longer required”.
