How do you come up with fresh ideas when you are working tirelessly on new music?

I watch a lot of movies and love to read, this influences my ideas and helps me see things differently. I  am able to get into character and write from their perspective. I never actively follow trends, and I feel this is key to avoiding dating your music and style. It becomes its own thing and feels more timeless.

When is the album dropping? We’re excited for it!

Omg!!! Thank you!!! It’s dropping in January! I do have a new single coming out this month, along  with a music video. The song is called Pieces and I will be playing it live at The Whiskey a Go Go in LA  on December 16th!

Concept ideas for visuals happening right now?

I’m going through a fun 80s rock phase with my visuals right now, adding in touches of Cabaret, and  the Moulin Rouge. I’m so excited to have shot my first music video and I’m planning on doing a couple  more for upcoming singles and my album!

You are always pushing out cooler ideas when it comes to how your music looks and feels, is  collaboration important when it comes to this?

Yes, I think it’s important to listen to the people you are working with. I’m not saying to give up your  creative control, but it’s more of learning to trust the people you seek out to work with and hear out  their ideas and know how to work on it together. For that reason, it is important to look for people  who understand your vision, there is a lot of trial and error, but eventually you will find your team.

How do you want to make your next statement?

I would like to make it through music videos! It’s so powerful when you put music to film, suddenly  this world you’re creating in your head is real. I’m curious to work on my performance and adding in  more dance elements, it’s exciting to find out what kind of performer I will be. I love how Avant Gard Kate Bush was and still is, her music videos are so different. They can be extremely sexy in a nonconventional way and that’s the direction I’m leaning towards.
