Austen Kroll Hopes Madison LeCroy Is “Capable Of Keeping Her Insults To A Minimum”

Reality TV
Austen Kroll, the serial attempted monogamist of Southern Charm and unofficial Casanova of Winter House has, over the years, brought us along for the bumpy ride that is his love life. Bravo fans have watched, as Austen has bumbled, and stumbled, through several failed relationships, never really seeming to find a groove.
Recently the Bravoleb opened up about his romantic troubles to  Entertainment Tonight, confirming he is trying a new strategy when it comes to dating. Rather than jumping headfirst into a relationship, Austen is instead now, “cautiously dating”.
Seemingly very self aware of how his struggles have played out over the years, Austen explained, “I’m so used to — and what we’ve seen for God’s sake on [Southern] Charm, the first season was Chelsea [Meissner], and then the next season I had another girlfriend that was on it briefly. After that, it’s been Madison [LeCroy].”

Delving into Winter House he continued, “Then it’s like, I go to Winter House and I meet another girl who’s great and I’m like, ‘Austen, you don’t have to date every single girl you meet if they are great,” he says. “I was definitely trying just a different approach. You don’t have to meet a girl and think she’s pretty and take her on a date and then keep on dating. All of the sudden, it’s like, wait, you just got out of something.”

Those watching Winter House have seen the start of Austen’s love troubles this season, involving Lindsay Hubbard and Ciara Miller both vying for his attention. This comes hot on the heels of Austen’s last relationship with Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy which was ended, as far as we thought, late 2020… The two however have continued to communicate, as evidenced by teasers for upcoming Winter House episodes.

Next week’s trailer complicated things further, confirming Madison as the the third woman referenced by Paige DeSorbo in a supposed love quadrangle surrounding Austen. Madison, meanwhile is currently engaged to their new beau, and by all appearances, content, if you’re going by her Instagram grid that is.

Austen, for his part, is maintaining that he is now “absolutely” keeping his distance from her. “That’s how you truly have to be, he explained. “You aren’t a part of my life anymore, and you’re going to start a new family and I wish you the best.

He continued, hinting at a remnant of bitterness between the two, “but I don’t have to send a gift basket and she shouldn’t need that from me. It’s like, no, we didn’t work out. Moving on. Of course I’m gong to see her around town and on camera and I just try to keep it– let’s see if she’s capable of keeping her insults to a minimum.”

We hope this new strategy pans out for Austen, but we wouldn’t put our bets on Madison staying civil if it does!
