Family Chantel: Why Viewers Are Over Nicole & Alejandro’s Relationship

Movies

Nicole Jimeno has seen her role as an antagonist upgraded for The Family Chantel season 3, but many viewers are already sick of seeing Nicole’s relationship with married man Alejandro Padron. Despite Alejandro being married to another woman, Nicole was devastated to discover he was also talking to other women online. Fans don’t feel bad for Nicole when it comes to Alejandro’s cheating, especially given how drawn out and dramatic their relationship is on The Family Chantel.

After Nicole’s older brother Pedro Jimeno made up with his wife Chantel Jimeno’s dramatic family, Nicole is now the Jimeno family member with her relationship in the hot seat. Her mother Lidia and protective older brother Pedro are angry Nicole is seeing Alejandro, as he is married. Lidia was also seeing a married man when she conceived both Pedro and Nicole, though she claims she was unaware he was married. Pedro confronted Alejandro over his relationship with Nicole during a tense meeting that saw Pedro acting out while Alejandro tried to make peace. Pedro’s antagonistic actions actually caused Nicole to take Alejandro back on the November 8 new episode of The Family Chantel season 3 despite Alejandro’s infidelity.

Nicole and Alejandro’s reconciliation came across as ridiculous to viewers. Nicole immediately forgot about the fact that Alejandro had cheated on her because she wanted to spite her brother by reconciling with Alejandro. This move comes across as strange, as Nicole and Pedro appear to have an uncomfortably close sibling relationship. Not only is Nicole determined to interfere with Pedro’s marriage to Chantel, but she would also return to a cheater just because her brother antagonized him. Nicole’s rekindled romance with Alejandro was more focused on frustrating Pedro and feeling sorry for Alejandro than about seeing the truth about the situation.

Many viewers first tuned in to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise to witness international romances. Nicole’s messy relationship with Alejandro and reasoning for getting back together with him are lackluster to viewers hoping to witness authentic love. Audiences often can’t get past the fact that Nicole would be upset over Alejandro cheating on her since he is still married. Though Pedro and Lidia come across as aggressive and hostile when it comes to their opinions of Alejandro, Nicole’s best friend Coraima Morla also weighed in with her opinion of the union. Coraima told Nicole to leave Alejandro for good. Since Coraima always has Nicole’s back, it’s clear Alejandro is bad news for Nicole.

Overall, Nicole and Alejandro’s relationship serves as nothing but a source of ridiculous drama for viewers. It is clear that Alejandro is unfaithful and that Nicole is more focused on Pedro than she is on Alejandro. Nicole’s obsession with making her older brother upset will soon lead to her making a bombshell revelation, as she is shown accusing her brother of cheating on Chantel with Coraima in season trailers. Nicole’s revelation is gleefully delivered to her sister-in-law, as she appears thrilled to potentially split Chantel and Pedro up. Many The Family Chantel viewers are not interested in seeing more of Alejandro or watching Nicole’s attempts to break up her brother’s marriage for her own amusement.
