Warning! Potential spoilers for Timeless #1 by Marvel Comics
In a new variant cover by Iban Coello, some of the greatest different versions of the Hulk from across the Marvel Universe band together in a stunning image. This week, Marvel Comics revealed several new covers for the upcoming Timeless #1 one-shot. In Coello’s cover, Maestro, Joe Fixit, World War Hulk, Bruce Banner, and the original Hulk come together as the most iconic Jade Giants assemble.
Marvel’s Timeless one-shot will set the table for Marvel’s upcoming stories in 2022. Timeless #1 by Jed McKay, Kev Walker, Greg Land, and Mark Bagley will follow Kang the Conqueror as he faces off against a threatening new timeline. Marvel Comics has released a handful of teasers for the one-shot, including promo images featuring Doctor Doom and an Infinity Stone-powered Mjolnir wielded by Thanos. Timeless #1 is set to be a Multiverse-spanning adventure that will shape the future Marvel Universe. Marvel Comics released new variant covers showcasing some of its greatest heroes in celebration of the upcoming story.
This week, Marvel Comics shared several new Stormbreaker variant covers for Timeless #1. The covers included Carmen Carnero taking on the different versions of Rogue from the X-Men, Joshua Cassara’s Thor wielding Mjolnir on top of a giant sundial, and She-Hulk going totally ’80s in a cover from Natacha Bustos. However, one of the most exciting variant covers came from Dark Ages artist Iban Coello, who brought some of the greatest versions of the Hulk together in a stunning variant cover.
In the image, four different versions of the Hulk stand near one another. First up, there’s the Incredible Hulk, whose purple pants and menacing stance take center stage. Above him is the Hulk from World War Hulk, who is sporting his iconic battle armor. To the side of him is the suit-wearing Joe Fixit, the suave grey Hulk persona of the Jade Giant. Finally, on the very top is the Maestro, the alternate version of the Hulk from the future whose quest for power is unending. The cover also features Bruce Banner and the dangerous incident that changed him into the Hulk.
Since Timeless will seemingly take readers across the Multiverse, it’s possible the story could feature different versions of the Hulk seen in Coello’s awesome cover. But, even if the characters don’t appear in the story, it’s still fun to see the Hulk’s come together on the fantastic variant cover. Timeless #1 is in comic book stores in December.
