Animal Crossing: How To Find Brewster | Screen Rant

Animal Crossing: New Horizons released the 2.0 update several days early, and players are now able to find and invite Brewster to join their island. Once he is located, players will be able to have Brewster open up his café, the Roost, on their home island. To start this quest and open the café, players will need to download the update, then visit Blathers at the Museum.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.o is the last free major update for the game, and it includes a handful of NPCs that are new to this title. Characters like Brewster existed in previous Animal Crossing games, but their addition to New Horizons will give players much more to do and experience, either solo or with their friends. Brewster’s café is one of the new spots players can help open up and visit.

To begin the process of opening the Roost, players will need to visit the museum and speak to Blathers. He will apologize for being distracted, then decide to ask the player for their help finding an old buddy: Brewster. He mentions that Brewster loves Gyroids, which are found on the new islands to which Kapp’n can offer boat rides. Players will also receive a picture of Brewster from Blathers, then they can begin the search.

After speaking to Blathers, players can go to Animal Crossing: New Horizons Kapp’n, who can be found at the end of the pier on the island, and ask him for a boat ride. This will cost the player 1,000 Nook Miles per ride. Players will want to make sure to speak to Blathers before taking a trip with Kapp’n that day, or they will have to wait another day to start their search for Brewster.

While on the boat, Kapp’n will serenade the player with a quirky sea shanty, then players will arrive on a unique island. Brewster should appear on the first island players visit after starting the quest to find him. Speaking to him will let players either talk to him about Gyroids or relay Blathers’ message.

To open the Roost, players will need to talk to Brewster about Blathers. Brewster will give a message for the player to bring back to Blathers. Players should speak to Blathers again to deliver Brewster’s response, and Blathers will inform the player that the museum will be under construction the next day. Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ Roost will be open two days after the player finds and invites Brewster, but this can be sped up if players time travel forward. Once the café is open, players can hang out with their friends and villagers, invite Amiibo characters, and enjoy a cup of coffee for 200 bells each.

If players speak to Brewster about Gyroids, he will give them a fragment for free. Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ Gyroids can be collected by digging up fragments, burying them in holes, watering them, then digging them up again the next day. Brewster will help players out by giving them their first Gyroid fragment without them having to search for it. The fragments are found randomly, so players will still need to look around the new islands to find and collect them all.

The addition of Brewster’s café gives players a place to relax and enjoy the company of their islanders and friends. Players can also use Amiibo and Amiibo Cards to invite visitors for coffee, including Special Characters like Jack or K.K. Slider. Finding Brewster should be fairly easy, and players can use time traveling in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to speed up the Roost’s construction and begin visiting with their favorite characters and friends right away.
