There’s no mincing words here – the last season of Real Housewives of New York was an epic fail. So much of a fail, that they didn’t even get a reunion for the season, which is unprecedented. While Bravo originally tried to sell us on the idea of the reunion simply being delayed, we weren’t buying it. And we were right – execs finally admitted that there would be no reunion. Supposedly, all hell broke loose behind the scenes with the cast and rumors were flying about whose fault it really was.
Unfortunately, most of that blame has fallen on newbie Eboni K. Williams. Eboni wasn’t just new, she was the first Black cast member on RHONY. And the ladies didn’t really seem to understand how to handle that. From Ramona Singer’s embarrassing Shabbat dinner, to Luann de Lesseps calling Eboni angry, it was not a good look. Remember when Leah McSweeney threw an epic fit and stormed off moments before Luann’s dust up with Eboni? She even called everyone hoes. Did anyone call Leah angry? Nay. Regardless, ratings of the season were in the toilet and there are even talks of the show going on hiatus to figure out this mess.
Now it’s being reported that some of the cast are taking their finger pointing to the next level. Page Six is reporting that Luann, Ramona and Leah made a pact to walk out when Eboni arrived at a party for the new housewives tell-all, Not All Diamonds And Rose: The Inside Story of The Real Housewives From the People Who Lived It. None of the ladies in questioned have confirmed this, but a source is spilling some major tea.

According to the insider, “Luann, Leah and Ramona had a pact [that] as soon as Eboni showed up, they would leave. When Eboni entered from the right, they all were on the left and exited. They fled as soon as she walked in.” The source added, “The infighting in ‘New York’ is still happening. They just hate her because they ain’t her.”
But according to one onlooker, Eboni remained completely unbothered by the incident. They shared, “Eboni was amazing. She finally met Dorinda [Medley] in real life and danced the night away.” Eboni’s rep confirmed she “had a blast” at the party.
Reps for Luann, Ramona and Leah haven’t responded as of yet. But I’m very curious to find out why exactly Leah has turned on Eboni. The two are supposed to be friends and spent the season sticking together. My only guess is that Leah is trying to save her own place on the show by aligning herself with the OGs.

Either way, Eboni continues to receive the short end of the stick. RHONY has been going downhill for a quite a few seasons now. It’s time Bravo executives realize that and actually do a cast overhaul. And that probably means ushering in a new type of New York housewife. One with new social circles and story lines that don’t involve getting completely sh** faced and pooping the floor. I think the fans deserve better at this point.
