Wild New Nicolas Cage Movie ‘Prisoners of the Ghostland’ Coming Exclusively to Shudder in November

Horror

The English-language debut of Suicide Club director Sion SonoPrisoners of the Ghostland was recently described by Nicolas Cage himself as being “the wildest movie I’ve ever made,” and we’ve learned today that it’s soon headed to AMC+ and Shudder.

Prisoners of the Ghostland will stream exclusively on AMC+ and on Shudder in the U.S. starting on November 19, an official press release sent out by Shudder today has announced.

Here’s the full plot synopsis for the movie…

“In the treacherous frontier city of Samurai Town, a ruthless bank robber (Nicolas Cage) is sprung from jail by wealthy warlord The Governor (Bill Moseley), whose adopted granddaughter Bernice (Sofia Boutella) has gone missing. The Governor offers the prisoner his freedom in exchange for retrieving the runaway. Strapped into a leather suit that will self-destruct within five days, the bandit sets off on a journey to find the young woman—and his own path to redemption.”

Cage recently described, “It’s out there. I wear a skintight black leather jumpsuit with grenades attached to different body parts, and if I don’t rescue the governor’s daughter from this state line where they’re all ghosts and bring her back they’re gonna blow me up.
