‘RHOBH’ recap: Erika Jayne says ‘master persuader’ Tom Girardi’s ‘life is over’

Reality TV

The strongest substance on Earth isn’t diamonds, it’s the message Erika Jayne has for her estranged husband, Tom Girardi.

The “Pretty Mess” author, 50, called the disgraced attorney, 82, a “master persuader and a master performer” on Wednesday night’s second installment of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 11 reunion.

“He’s on a loop saying the same stories over and over … He could not have told you anyone’s name here. Not a soul,” Jayne said. “But he certainly could sit there and entertain.”

Her admission came in response to a viewer who questioned Girardi’s ability to enthrall the women of “RHOBH” with stories about his experience shooting a Western film decades ago during the infamous astrology party of Season 10.

The fan expressed confusion as Jayne has alleged that a decline in Girardi’s mental health contributed to her decision to file for divorce in November 2020. (Girardi was diagnosed with late-onset Alzheimer’s disease and dementia this year.)

Jayne’s co-stars Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley immediately came to her defense.

According to Richards, 52, a close friend whose mother has “severe dementia” spotted early signs of memory loss in Girardi while watching the Season 10 episode.

“She said, ‘I’m telling you, I’m seeing similarities in Tom as I do in my mom. There’s a vacancy I’m seeing,’” the “Halloween Kills” actress explained. “She said they can be like that one moment, clear and talking, and then the next moment nothing.”

The theory made sense to Kemsley, 45, who noted, “He was regaling us with stories and they weren’t current stories. You can tell that those stories, he’s told over and over.”

Jayne replied, “Because that’s what he remembers.”

Elsewhere in the reunion, the “XXPEN$IVE” singer bluntly stated that Girardi’s “life is over,” citing his age and mental health struggles. “He’s in his 80s. He’s in a memory care facility,” she said of the disbarred lawyer, who has also been placed in a conservatorship headed by his brother Robert.

“His career is over and done. I just turned 50,” Jayne said, adding that she will not allow Girardi’s legal woes to “destroy” her.

The former couple has been accused of embezzling funds meant for trauma victims represented by Girardi’s former law firm, Girardi and Keese. Late last year, the part-time pop star faced allegations that she used her divorce filing to hide money and “fraudulently protect” assets from those seeking to collect debts.

“I have to survive this,” she told her castmates and host Andy Cohen.

Part three of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reunion airs Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
