Amid their breakup, insiders are noting how Lala Kent previously admitted that dating Randall Emmett made “no sense” for the Vanderpump Rules star. The famous couple made headlines after sources for Lala confirmed her split from Randall. The pair had been engaged for three years and recently welcomed their first child together. However, ahead of their broken engagement, it seems like Lala was already noting all the reasons they weren’t meant to last.
Randall came under fire over the weekend after he was allegedly caught spending time with two mystery women in Nashville. After photos of the filmmaker surfaced online showing Randall headed back to a hotel with the ladies, Lala archived all of their photos together and posted a video of her checking into a hotel. Lala also included Beyonce’s song “Sorry” in the post, which is a female-empowering breakup song against a cheating spouse. The song choice further showed signs that Lala was hinting at leaving Randall for his adulterous ways. Alas, the couple had been engaged for three years and welcomed their daughter earlier in 2021.
Now, it looks like Lala has always known why she and Randall weren’t the most compatible pairing. A week before their split, Lala opened up about how her relationship with Randall might look to most outsiders. “I know that my relationship makes absolutely no sense on paper,” Lala told Page Six. “I am completely aware of that.” At the time, however, Lala was hopeful that Vanderpump Rules fans could see the connection she and Randall share in their at-home life. “I feel like as time goes on, you’ll see him more and maybe you’ll think to yourself, ‘OK, this does make sense.’ At least that’s my hope for viewers,” she said.
Vanderpump Rules season 9 has introduced a new family dynamic between Lala and Randall. They let the cameras in to capture their new life as parents to newborn Ocean Kent Emmett. But it looks like not even an engagement and a baby could keep Randall home and loyal to Lala. She noted all the criticism they used to get when she first introduced their relationship on the show. At the time, Lala was too scared to even say Randall’s name because he was still legally married to his ex-wife Ambyr Childers. “Our relationship was so unexpected and we never thought we’d showcase it on TV like this because there was so much judgment surrounding it in the beginning,” Lala admitted.
Alas, it looks like the Bravo cameras only put a damper on Lala and Randall’s romantic life. With a 19-year age gap between them, Lala has endured a lot of criticism since she first got with Randall. Bragging about the intimate favors she gave him and how it landed her rides on private jets was how viewers were first introduced to Lala and Randall’s relationship on the show. Things appeared hopeful for Lala and Randall after they welcomed their daughter and started sharing their relationship in season 9, and the Vanderpump Rules star even talked about wanting more kids in the near future. However, it looks like her baby plans will have to be put on pause as she figures out if she wants to take Randall back or leave him alone for good.
