Vanderpump Rules Alum Jax Taylor Got Botox On Live TV

Reality TV

Doesn’t it seem like Jax Taylor grew up before our eyes during his eight seasons on Vanderpump Rules?  The self-destructive lothario who could screw himself in and out of any situation finally settled down with Brittany Cartwright into domestic bliss.  But not before cheating on her with Faith Stowers.  A minor infraction, it seems because the two went on to wed, buy a house, and have a child together.

With Jax finally stepping into a mature life, it was time to say goodbye to the show that made him famous, and potentially encouraged his self-destruction.  Working at some of the trendiest spots in LA and being on a hit TV show certainly provides a lot of temptations.  Jax and Brittany announced their departure in December 2020 to focus on son Cruz.

At the time, Jax posted the following message to Instagram to announce his departure.  He wrote, “the last 8 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life. Although this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules.  We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors.”

“I was 100 percent checked out at the end. … I was just very irritable on the show,” Jax said, “It was getting a little bit too scripted for me and I just couldn’t do it anymore.  It wasn’t fun.”

Jax may have been done with Vanderpump Rules, but he’s certainly not out of the entertainment industry.  Us Weekly reported that the former Sur employee appeared on the October 18th episode of The Doctors, during which he received a course of Botox injections live on air.

“I’m a huge fan of Botox, I don’t care what anybody says. I love it,” Jax gushed of the aesthetic procedure, “I believe you are investing in your body. You look good, you feel good.”

The reality star added, “I’m in the entertainment world, I’m on TV a lot.  I’m investing in my face. I’m not getting any younger, so whatever I can do to keep the youth and make me feel good inside and outside, I’m going to do.”

During the segment, Jax also reflected on leaving the “conflict heavy” show that started his career in the entertainment business.  Despite his friendship with the cast, Jax said the fighting on screen was a major factor in his decision to quit.

Jax explained, “I think it was time for my wife and I to move on just the idea of going back to that world and going back to the arguing and fighting with people half my age. It was a lot of anxiety.  You gotta film it and then you gotta go live through it again.”  In an attempt to avoid conflict, Jax added that he had, “nothing bad to say about it.”
