Andy Cohen Responds To Real Housewives Fans Who Want To Erika Jayne Fired

Reality TV

As much as I hate to admit it, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 11 really is the Erika Jayne show. And she’s basking in that fact. Erika has no problem taking credit for the four-part reunion. But taking credit for having any role in the embezzlement allegations facing her soon-to-be ex-husband Tom Girardi? That will never happen. What a pretty mess. Luckily, the majority of the cast, aside from Sutton Stracke AKA soon-to-be IRL Elle Woods, is blindly supporting her against the horrendous accusations. As for the Bravo fandom, however, we’re all a bit more skeptical about the fraudulent facade that is Erika Jayne.

It hasn’t been surprising that throughout this season of RHOBH, many fans want to see Erika fired. Some viewers believe that Bravo glorifies criminals and that the network should punish them for their alleged actions. However, the King of Bravo Andy Cohen believes otherwise, particularly in the case of Erika. And his comments come after his tension with her at the reunion.

Andy spoke with Entertainment Tonight about fans who make such comments, which he doesn’t pay attention to. “She has not been charged with a crime, as you may or may not know, and the story is unfolding as we watch,” Andy said. That is true, even though a judge has ruled Tom’s alleged victims can go after Erika for the money they are owed (thankfully).

He then compared the situation to Teresa Giudice’s own legal battles a few years back on Real Housewives of New Jersey. “We kept the cameras going to see how that unfolded, I think, because so many viewers were invested in Teresa,” Andy added. Tre may have been involved in some bad business, but she has a good explanation for her side of the story and paid her time. Erika, on the other hand, is being a disaster on Twitter and comparing herself to Jesus Christ. To me, it’s apples and oranges.

Andy did not divulge whether or not the full RHOBH cast will return for Season 12. “You got to wait and see,” he said. “But I will say that it was such a blockbuster season that it would be my hope that it would remain, somehow, someway, intact.” Considering the show is Erika’s only income these days, it’s clear she won’t be the one to jump ship first.
