Kyle Richards says she will ‘not defend’ Erika Jayne amid legal woes

Reality TV

Kyle Richards wants nothing to do with Erika Jayne’s not-so-“Pretty Mess.”

Wednesday night’s season finale of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” saw Richards, 52, announce to her castmates that she will “not defend” Jayne, 50, amid allegations of embezzling money meant for trauma victims.

“I’ve said all along I’m here to support Erika, not defend because I don’t know the whole story,” Richards stated with Jayne in clear view at Crystal Kung Minkoff’s Chinese New Year celebration.

In a confessional, the “Halloween” actress implied that her friendship with the “XXPEN$IVE” pop star has all but disintegrated. A source previously told Page Six that Lisa Rinna is Jayne’s “only friend left” on the show.

“When I think about friendships this past year, there were new friendships made with my sister Kathy [Hilton] and all these women,” she said, adding somberly, “There were many friendships broken — hopefully not permanently.”

Seemingly unfazed by Richards’ comment, though, Jayne — known among her co-stars as the “ice queen” — replied stoically, “I just need some time. I’ve got a lot going on. You know, this life isn’t for wimps.”

Jayne has had a turbulent season as her legal and financial woes with estranged husband Tom Girardi have played out on screen.

Jayne is being sued for $25 million by the trustee handling the bankruptcy case for the disgraced attorney’s former law firm, Girardi Keese.

She has been accused of using the firm’s millions to pay her bills and filing for divorce from Girardi, 82, in November 2020 in a “sham attempt” to hide assets from victims of Lion Air Flight 610 who were represented by the disgraced attorney.

Host Andy Cohen is expected to grill Jayne about the allegations throughout the four-part “RHOBH” reunion that begins Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
