To say Ryan dazzled the crowded venue is an understatement. He seduced the audience with a rare magnetism, and the heart of an old Broadway soul, while he showcased songs from his up and coming album, “Magic Miracle Mile” set to release October 22, 2021. When a song is born the world is altered in an instant and a new voice is heard. His songs come from an authentic rhythm and he performs them in a way laced with color and texture. The violinist/ keyboardist and unplugged drummer were worthy accompanist to Ryan’s sparkle.
From New York now based in Los Angeles, Ryan has performed over 600 live shows nationwide and internationally. He is proud to be recognized as the first openly transgender at the Vans Warped Tour and has been featured at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and at the biggest Pride festivals on the planet. Ryan has been celebrated by Billboard Magazine as a “True force in the industry”, and Logo’s New Next and Now included him on the “9 trans musicians you need to get into” list. His music has been featured on Sirius XM Radio, BBC Radio 4, and others globally. He is also the recipient of the ASCAP foundation 2019 Mariana and Paul Williams “Sunlight of the Spirit” award.
Ryan was joined by two opening acts who were also accomplished and awesome. “Nilsson” is a new project Luke Nilsson is spearheading, with help from members of his former band, and will be releasing new music this fall. “Star Harbor” was formed from remnants of their local punk rock band originating from Long Island. Both factions were comprised of accomplished musicians and played original music well worthy of a tour…
