Dog The Bounty Hunter‘s Duane Chapman has an update from Egmont Key for all those following the Gabby Petito case. Duane previously joined the search for Brian Laundrie after Brian’s disappearance on September 17. Duane claimed to have several leads as to Brian’s whereabouts, and he is determined to find him. Brian’s parents have stated they don’t know where their son is. However, Duane argued that 50% of the time, parents do know where their children are.
Duane believed that Brian’s family was seen at Fort De Soto Park on two separate occasions in early September. According to Duane, they visited the park from September 1-3 and then again from September 6-8. The reality TV star claimed that only two of the three returned home after their trip. Duane also stressed that he would like to talk to Brian’s father, as Duane believed he has been in a similar scenario in his own life.
If anyone thought Duane would back down in his search for Brian, he’s putting those rumors to rest. According to Movieweb, Duane posted an update on Twitter that he stormed Shell Island. Duane believes he’s gotten even closer to Brian’s location. Duane is currently being assisted by boat crews, ground teams and rescue dogs. He believes he has found an area that would be a great place for Brian to hide.
Sources close to the case have told TMZ that Duane obtained information that has convinced him Brian was alive and on the move as of Tuesday at 10pm. While searching Shell Island, Duane discovered a campsite he believes was occupied by Brian. At the site, he found an empty can of Monster Energy drink. Brian’s team didn’t find any evidence that could prove Brian was hiding in the woods at Egmont Key. However, Duane did fly a banner that said, “Aloha Brian Laundrie,” in an attempt to get the 23-year-old’s attention.
While many social media users have been invested in the case and have even offered their own tips and clues, no one has come close to the dedication of Dog The Bounty Hunter star Duane. Brian’s getaway scheme is rapidly crumbling to pieces due to Duane’s investigation and frequent updates. While Duane is still not positive where Brian is hiding and has not been in contact with his family, it doesn’t look like he’s backing down until he has Brian in handcuffs. Duane may have been a surprising addition to the search team, but he was surely a productive addition as well.
