Candiace Dillard Says Gizelle Bryant Doesn’t Bring Any Vulnerability To Real Housewives Of Potomac “Aside From Starting Mess And Having Bones To Carry”; Calls Gizelle “Disrespectful” For Bringing Up Cheating Rumors About Wendy Osefo’s Husband

Reality TV

It’s curious why Gizelle Bryant has so little empathy for Wendy Osefo.  During the last few episodes of Real Housewives of Potomac, Wendy has been dealing the rumors of husband Eddie Osefo’s infidelity.  She’s acted defensive ever since Ashley Darby told her the rumors were circulating within the group.  Wendy has had to defend Eddie, and also herself as she explained that her recent makeover had nothing to do with troubles at home.

The cast struggled to contain the situation since Wendy did not react the way they were expecting her to.  She lashed out at the group and demanded that Eddie stay off limits.  As Wendy lashed, she made comments belittling Robyn Dixon’s relationship with Juan Dixon.  Maybe this is why Gizelle came after Wendy next, by claiming that her response to the Eddie rumors prove she is too weak to be on the show.

Costars Candiace Dillard Bassett, Karen Huger, and Mia Thornton appeared on The Real Housewives of Potomac After Show to discuss what went down.  Newbie Mia, who had a favorable impression of Gizelle initially, said, “I feel that that was a far fetch.  I think that just because Wendy is saying, ‘my husband is off limits,’ has nothing to do with her being weak.  I think that’s called having standards.” Karen nodded in agreement.

As for Candiace, she seems to be turning on Gizelle this season.  And her response suggests that Gizelle should be out of the group instead.  “It’s disrespectful,” Candiace said, “it’s below the belt.  And for you to dog-whistle to anybody and say, ‘well maybe she shouldn’t be a part of the group.’  Maybe YOU shouldn’t be a part of the group.  What vulnerabilities do you bring?  Outside of starting mess and having bones to carry left, right, and center.  Don’t dare, don’t dare insinuate that someone isn’t strong enough to be in this group because they choose to have some character, and empathy, and a heart.  And not hit below certain belts.”

This brings us back to the initial query.  Why did Gizelle have so little empathy for another woman dealing with infidelity rumors?  After all, Pastor Jamal Bryant seemed inundated with them.  Surely Gizelle could have been more sensitive to how Wendy chose to respond.  Perhaps the difference is the love and respect in Wendy’s relationship that Gizelle envies.

As for vulnerability, viewers got glimpse of it when Gizelle and Robyn did their podcast together.  The duo were discussing infidelity in relationships and indirectly referenced Wendy and Eddie.  In a moment of surprise candour, Gizelle mentioned her struggles with Jamal in a bit of a self deprecating way.  Perhaps Gizelle could learn to open up to all her cast mates the same way, it would be very refreshing to see.

TELL US- DO YOU THINK WENDY IS TOO WEAK FOR THE SHOW?  HOW SHOULD SHE HAVE REACTED TO THE EDDIE RUMORS?  WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MIA’S COMMENTS?  WHAT DO YOU THINK OF CANDIACE’S SUGGESTION THAT GIZELLE DOESN’T BELONG ON THE SHOW?
