Lisa Vanderpump Shades Stassi Shroeder While Praising The Maturity Of Remaining Vanderpump Rules Cast

Reality TV

Vanderpump Rules has transformed into an entirely new show since the early days of Jax Taylor cheating on Stassi Schroeder and Stassi hazing Scheana Shay at Sur. For starters, two out of three of those OGs “left” (read: were fired) from the show after Season 8. And there’s a baby army of the next generation of Survers now that half the cast has become parents in the last year. And considering their rise to fame and subsequent businesses, the show no longer has the charm of a bunch of 20-somethings living in shitty LA apartments that don’t allow you to use the air conditioner and the microwave at the same time. Ah, the good old days.

The VPR cast has a variety of opinions on whether or not OGs like Stassi and Kristen Doute should have been fired. Some believe they should have gotten to learn their lesson while cameras were rolling. While others say it was time for a new era of the show. Regardless, Season 9 is on its way. And it’s sure to look like nothing we’ve ever seen before.

And while Lisa Vanderpump always supports her Pump Rules cast, the Brit can’t help herself but throw shade. She recently spoke to Radar Online about the upcoming season and threw a little dig at Stassi. The pair recently ran into each other for the first time since Stassi’s firing, and this comment isn’t going to help ensure a pleasant future bump-in. LVP said the current cast has matured beyond the days of “just chucking a drink at somebody and shouting, ‘It’s my birthday.’” Messy, messy LVP. And to be clear, the VPR heyday was when Stassi’s outrageous behavior included slapping Kristen, throwing drinks, and acting like a complete tornado.

LVP also was asked to describe the upcoming season in three words. “It feels intimate — like, you get really into the core of issues,” she began. Is it that, or does it feel “intimate” because Bravo is still having to adjust to filming shows in the midst of a pandemic? I digress. “It’s funny — it has a lot of humor in it this year. But it’s also explosive, I have to say, and intense as well,” she continued. Well, all of that is just vague enough to get me to watch the next season. But do I have high hopes? Absolutely not. The silver lining is continuing to watch the new-and-improved James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss live their best life. Otherwise, everything is up in the air.
