Captain Lee Rosbach, Eddie Lucas, And Rachel Cosgrove Back For New Below Deck Season

Reality TV

Get ready for more bosun versus chef drama on the high seas!  In the warm Caribbean to be exact.  Below Deck is back for season 9 and some of our favorite cast members are back to shock, amuse, and entertaining the heck out of use.  Chef Rachel Hargrove will bring the shock factor with her profanity laced-tirades, hopefully she will not direct her crudeness to Captain Lee Rosbach again.  There’s no need to say that he will be back for Season 9, though his premiere is delayed somewhat.  The “stud of the sea” seems unimpressed most of the time but clearly loves the limelight, and what could be a better gig for him?  Bosun Eddie Lucas returns to man the deck crew, but the rest of the crew is new.  Including a chief stew to replace Francesca Rubi.

The anticipation for more conflict between Eddie and Rachel is tremendous.  Straight-laced Eddie couldn’t stand the unconventional chef and her drunken antics.  It was passive-aggressive frustration during Season 8, but give it more time and this clash of characters has the potential to give us memorable reality TV moments.

Below Deck loves to hold on to management cast, and this show has big shoes to fill since Kate Chastain left.  This season, Heather Chase will attempt the role of chief stew.  Jessica Albert and Fraser Olender complete the interior team.  Out on deck we have Jake Foulger, Rayna Lindsay, and Wes O’Dell.  And, spoiler alert, one duo will be hooking up.

In a surprise twist, and maybe a teaser from how Season 8 started off, Captain Lee is absent from the boat.  Captain Sean Meagher takes over for the interim, and brings a “hands-on” management style, completely different from what we are used to on Below Deck.

How will this play out with Eddie, who has had numerous seasons with LeeE! News shared the trailer for Season 9 in which Eddie can be heard saying, “we’re leaving the dock with a new captain, new crew, tensions are high.”

The trailer is the usual mix of frustrated curses, a hookup teaser, screaming matches, and demanding guests.  Cleaning guest dildos?  No problem!  Cast drama?  So there for that.  And Heather seems like someone that will really keep her stews in line.  How about a firing?  Captain Lee returns in time to ask a member of the deck team to, “pack your bags.”  Rachel has a serious sit down where she claims her integrity was compromised, and Eddie begs for Captain Lee’s return.

Below Deck Season 9 premieres on Bravo October 25 at 9 p.m. Check out the Below Deck trailer below.
