Sutton Stracke Discusses Her Co-Stars Protecting Erika Jayne; Says “There Was An Instant Protective Glue With Those Girls”

Reality TV

Right now, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is the Erika Jayne show. Just not in the way that Erika would have wanted. Her ex, Tom Girardi, supposedly withheld $26 million dollars in settlement funds from his clients.

He also gave his wife a loan for $20 million dollars from his law firm, which was allegedly transferred to Erika’s company, EJ Global. While the RHOBH star has been proclaiming that she isn’t involved in Tom’s legal bonfire, her signature on some loan documents could shoot down that theory.

Erika filed for divorce from Tom and told her co-stars about Tom’s cheating through mascara-stained tears. But Erika is accused of filing for divorce in an effort to cling on to some of their assets. And a judge ruled that Tom’s clients can now go after Erika’s assets to recoup the money that Tom owes them.

During a recent episode of RHOBH, Erika, Garcelle Beauvais, and Crystal Kung Minkoff went for a hike. In a hot mic moment, Erika revealed that Tom calls her every day, but she can’t take his calls for legal reasons.

When Garcelle told the rest of the ladies that Tom calls Erika, Erika freaked out and snapped at Garcelle to “have her fucking moment.” Crystal told everyone that Garcelle was in her car and didn’t hear Erika tell Crystal that she didn’t want to discuss Tom’s calls.

The next morning, more news broke about Tom and Erika’s legal troubles. And this is where Sutton Stracke started earning her diamond. She was supposedly the only cast member who didn’t support Erika during her divorce drama. She may have been a Friend of the Housewives last season, but she came ready to play.

Sutton called a group meeting without Erika. While some of the ladies are starting to wonder if Erika has been lying to them, Sutton is sure about where she stands. She feels like Erika’s stories don’t make sense. Sutton doesn’t want to be around Erika and her nightmare legal mess.

Sutton started to question Erika’s truthfulness when Erika explained how Tom drove off a cliff. I need a diagram to explain how Tom gently rolled out of his car, was unconscious for hours, and then called Erika to come and get him after driving off a cliff.

In an interview with Yahoo, Sutton discussed not being afraid to question Erika. “That weekend in La Quinta really did a 180,” Sutton explained. “It just went [left] in an instant. It’s interesting that that can happen in life, and it can happen in friendships.”

So, is the cast refusing to ask Erika any hard questions in a bid to protect her? Sutton stated, “I mean, I think that, yeah. I think you can see it. But I also think that they have a very special bond, because they’ve known each other a long time,” she said. “So, there was an instant protective glue with those girls, which I completely understand.” If that is the case, then why didn’t they support Denise Richards last season? Garcelle would like a word with Lisa Rinna about that.

Sutton continued, “Garcelle and I — and Crystal — we don’t know Erika in the way that those girls do, and we also haven’t known her for very long. Garcelle and I have known her for a year. Crystal has known her for a couple months at this point,” she remarked. “So, I get it. It’s just not my perspective. I think that’s the biggest difference,” Sutton added.
