Mickey Guyton has shared the release date, artwork, and tracklist for Remember Her Name. The country artist’s debut is out September 24 via Capitol Nashville. Guyton co-wrote all but one of the album’s 16 songs; the outlier is her cover of Beyoncé’s “If I Were a Boy.” The record also includes the Grammy-nominatedBlack Like Me.” Check out the album details below.

Remember Her Name is a culmination of the last 10 years of my life in Nashville,” Mickey Guyton said in a statement. “This album is the closing of a chapter. All those years ago, I set out to create music that would make people feel self-empowered, loved, and comfortable with being themselves and this album holds true to all of that. I hope everyone who listens finds something that connects and speaks to them.”

Guyton is the first Black female solo artist to be nominated for Best Country Solo Performance. She was recognized for “Black Like Me,” which she initially wrote in 2019 with Nathan Chapman, Fraser Churchill, and Emma Davidson Dillon in 2019. The single got released on June 2, 2020, and it was featured on Guyton’s September EP Bridges.
