PS5 owners will finally be able to get Death Stranding this Fall. Kojima Productions has announced that Death Stranding Director’s Cut will launch for PlayStation 5 on September 24. Existing PS4 owners will have to pay $10 for the upgraded Director’s Cut for PlayStation 5.

In addition, the Director’s Cut will be available in Standard and Digital Deluxe versions. The Standard version ($49.99) nets you the game, while the Digital Deluxe ($59.99) gets you the following:

  • Death Stranding Digital Deluxe Edition content
  • New in-game suit colours
  • New in-game power glove colours
  • New in-game BB Pod options
  • New in-game backpack patches
  • Digital mini art book + OST app
  • Avatar set

As for just what’s in the Director’s Cut of the game, Kojima and company state that the new content was “all built and developed from the ground up, following the launch of the original Death Stranding.” While Kojima Productions were reluctant to give away what it entails, the new content includes new missions and extended storyline. Plus, all of the Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077 content introduced to the PC version of Death Stranding will also be available in Death Stranding Director’s Cut.

Death Stranding is out now on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. No word on if the Director’s Cut will be making its way to PC.
