Real Housewives of Miami was a great show and according to the folks at the Peacock network, it’s about to come back. We haven’t had a solid confirmation on the current cast, but it seems sealed in stone that original RHOM star Lea Black will not be on board. But if you miss the lilting sound of her laughter, Lea does appear quite often on Sirius radio with former Flipping Out star, Jeff Lewis.
Lea is married to a very high-powered attorney and actually met her husband when she was a juror on a trial. Naturally she may take more than your average level of interest in Housewives who are involved in legal disputes. After months of watching people take down Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne, Lea is viewing the entire ordeal with a sympathetic eye. Recently, Lea attempted to use her powers of influence in an effort to build support for Erika’s current plight. To be fair, Lea is used to rooting for the defendant underdog.
The law says innocent until proven guilty. Unfortunately a lot of evidence coming out about Erika and Tom Girardi support the case that Erika knew what was going on. This is despite her numerous denials to the contrary. In keeping with what is factual, Erika is named with Tom in a lawsuit on behalf of Boeing plane crash victims. The couple allegedly embezzled settlement funds meant to help the surviving families. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Erika is also in the middle of divorcing Tom, who currently has a bank balance similar to what I had in college, -$6.00. Her aloof attitude on social media may belie what she’s really going through, but no one ever knows what Erika really feels. Because, enigma wrapped in a crime riddle and cash debt. Not many are publicly supporting Erika, except for her co-stars who will peace out if criminal charges are filed and Lea from RHOM who might see a kindred spirit in the fellow former wife-of-a-lawyer. In a recent Instagram story, Lea urged people to show grace to Erika.

Realhousewivesfranchise shared Lea’s post. She wrote, “I hope people keep an open mind about Erika.” The one who spent $40k a month for glam? “The law partners/acct didn’t know,” Lea added. Again, Reality Tea has been reporting on Tom’s fraud cases since 2016. IF WE KNEW, SOMEONE ELSE KNEW. Lea continued, “The California bar didn’t know. The creditors didn’t know. The city lavishing husbands w/ awards didn’t know. So why would people assume a singer/dancer w/ no background in law/finance should know? Be nice.” Fun fact, you don’t need a degree in finance to know your husband is stealing money.
Lea has practiced being nice to people in precarious positions. Her husband, Roy Black, was part of Jeffrey Epstein’s defense team. He also defended William Kennedy Smith in a rape trial back in 1991, coincidentally where he and Lea met. But most people don’t rub elbows with criminals people accused of blowing through $80 million. On the other side of the coin, Erika definitely knew something was up when she was subpoenaed twice in a case where Tom is accused of not paying a burn victim. Not to pour salt in the wound, but it doesn’t help Erika is on the BoD at Girardi Financial.

People have suffered because of Tom’s actions that Erika might have profited from, and it’s a hard pill to swallow. So asking fans to “be nice” is almost as outlandish as asking Erika to “be humble”. It appears Lea’s plea for kindness have fallen on deaf ears. Viewers are usually resilient and forgiving, but Erika has been referring to herself as a scapegoat and taking heat for social media activity. Fans might need Erika to “be honest” before they can “be nice”.
