The Beach Boys Releasing Box Set of Sunflower and Surf’s Up Sessions

A new box set will compile rarities from The Beach Boys’ sessions for Sunflower and Surf’s Up. Offcuts from the albums, released in 1970 and 1971, respectively, include unreleased tracks, live recordings, radio promos, alternate versions, alternate mixes, isolated backing tracks, and a cappella versions. Titled Feel Flows – The Sunflower & Surf’s Up Sessions 1969-1971, the collection is out July 30 via Capitol/UMe. The set comes with a 48-page book featuring unreleased and rare photos, lyric sheets, tape box images, recording artifacts, new liner notes by Howie Edelson, and a set of new and archival interviews. As well as the 5CD box set, vinyl and other CD editions are set for release.
