Once again drama is unfolding on the Real Housewives of Dallas. The show is not currently in production and these things are basically happening in real time on social media, so we are reporting the information as we receive it. This morning, Tiffany Moon changed her bio on both Twitter and Instagram accounts stating “Previous Cast Member #RHOD S5″. She also included a post referencing “it’s time for a change” and fans believed this was Tiffany excluding herself from the current narrative.
We’ve been here before with cast members perhaps pulling a stunt for attention-seeking purposes, but Tiffany recently engaged in a Twitter battle with Kameron Westcott that resulted in both Kameron’s husband and brother-in-law attacking Tiffany. After this morning’s announcement, viewers speculated perhaps Tiffany’s implied departure was the fallout from this correspondence. In the interim, Tiffany’s bio changed BACK and removed any connotation she is leaving. But that’s not the only thing that changed, it looks like Tiff might have lawyered up and is ready to battle for real.
Tiffany woke up today and decided to cause a stir. It worked because both Twitter and Instagram were almost on fire after Tiffany seemingly quit RHOD. Multiple news outlets reported on her leaving only to have her update her bio for a second time today like it was a fever dream. Even though it was Tiffany who lit the spark, E! released the following statement from her rep, “The rumors of her leaving the show are not true.” This could mean Tiffany was #slappedbybravo because generally cast are not allowed to make such demonstrative statements until they get the green light. Now here’s where it gets interesting.
A few days ago Kameron and Tiffany went AT IT on Twitter. Unfortunately it didn’t remain between the ladies because Court Westcott and his brother Chart Westcott got involved. The bros went full bro and to say it was distasteful is an egregious understatement. Now it looks like Tiffany is taking off her earrings and smearing Vaseline on her face because she’s ready to fight for real.

Variety breaks it down, “This week, Moon faced something unprecedented: She was subjected to racist bullying online by the family of one of her fellow cast members, Kameron Westcott. In tweets, Kameron Westcott’s husband, Court, and her brother-in-law, Chart, attacked Moon on Twitter. Court Westcott, who has since deactivated his Twitter account, decried the concept of ‘anti-racism’, called it racism, and compared the philosophy to World War II Germany.” When I tell you it was a lot, I mean it was A LOT.
The unfortunately-named Chart also publicly implied he hoped Tiffany doesn’t work under the influence of alcohol after she was “blackout drunk” at his house. Charming guy. Now Tiffany’s lawyer has entered the chat. Attorney Andrew Brettler says: “The insinuations the Westcotts made in those tweets are reckless, defamatory and appalling. Dr. Moon is a professional in every sense of the word and is deserving of the excellent reputation that she’s earned as a physician and as a hard working mother. These attacks on her character will not be tolerated. The Westcotts would be well advised to keep mentions of Dr. Moon out of their social media feeds.”

A spokesperson for Kameron did not immediately respond to the request for comment. Nor did Chart or Court who are apparently out of the office. Kameron has disabled all comments on her Instagram due to the backlash. In some of the more unsavory posts, the Westcotts tagged the hospital where Tiffany works, which are now deleted. Fun fact, Westcott family patriarch Carl H. Westcott is a major financial donor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where there are several chairs named after him. Fun fact #2, that’s where Tiffany is currently on staff.
Bravo has not commented on the matter at this time.
