One of the fastest ways to level up the Battle Pass in Fortnite Season 6 is to complete Challenges and Quests during matches. Weekly challenges in Fortnite, called Epic Quests, reward players 24,000 XP on completion. One Week 6 Epic Quest in Fortnite Season 6 tasks players with finding and opening three Gold Bar Safes. These Safes were first introduced back in Season 5, and they offer 150 Gold Bars to the player who finds and opens them. The trick, however, is that Safes are exceedingly rare and don’t spawn in every match.
Safes will spawn at several of the major, named POIs around the Fortnite map. Like Chests, only one player may open each one that spawns. Though Safes have set spawn locations within each POI, they do not have a 100% spawn rate. That means, a player may find a safe at Holly Hedges one match, only for it to no longer spawn in the next few matches. To complete the Epic Quest, players will need to check known Safe spawn locations frequently and prioritize locations where Safes are most likely to spawn in a given match. Players can collect Gold Bars and loot for opening safes and a respectable amount of XP toward their season. Here’s where to find Gold Bar Safes in Fortnite Season 6.

Best Places to Search for Gold Bar Safes in Fortnite Season 6
There are over 45 possible spawn points for Gold Bar Safes in Fortnite Season 6. The POIs that will have Safes include:
- Sweaty Sands
- Stealthy Stronghold
- Pleasant Park
- Craggy Cliffs
- Colossal Crops
- Steamy Stacks
- Dirty Docks
- Retail Row
- Lazy Lake
- Misty Meadows
- Slurpy Swamp
- Holly Hedges
- Boney Burbs
Of these, Sweaty Sands, Dirty Docks, Holly Hedges, and Craggy Cliffs have the most possible Safe spawn points, so players should prioritize those locations during their search. Sweaty Sands alone has 11 possible Safe locations. They can see each Safe location in the video below by Comrad3s.
It is rare to find Safes in the open. Most often, players will find Safes inside buildings at each POI.
Though this challenge can be completed in one match, players will need to move around quite a bit and will need to be exceptionally lucky. It may be a better strategy to spread out the search over several matches, looking at each potential spawn location at a POI in each match. Alternatively, if players can grab a vehicle, they could be able to check two POIs that are close to one another, like Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands. Once players find a Safe, they will want to make sure the area is clear, then interact with it to open it and claim the loot inside. When they reach three, they will complete the challenge and earn their XP.
Players will need to keep an eye out for opponents who may also be on the hunt for Safes to complete the challenge this week. They should always make sure to grab weapons and healing items as soon as they land, just in case they find themselves in a firefight during the search. Like many other Fortnite Epic Quests, as long as it still counts, finding and opening Safes may be one Quest best saved for the quieter Team Rumble mode.
Fortnite is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Android devices.
