Even if you’re not a fan, it’s hard to deny that Ramona Singer is an integral part of the Real Housewives of New York. She’s an OG and the show would never be the same if we never saw her petty fights with Bethenny Frankel, her complicated best friendship with Sonja Morgan and her outrageous temper tantrums about rooms on vacation.
Elyse Slaine came into the RHONY universe as one of Mona’s 50 best girlfriends, but it didn’t last long. They got into a blowup last season, and she severed ties for good after Elyse and Leah McSweeney started a joke that she poops herself while having sex. Now, she’s spilling the tea on Ramona’s role in Dorinda Medley‘s departure from the show.
Elyse recently appeared on an Instagram Live with The Domenick Nati Show to talk about the show, but mostly trash the Ramonacoaster. Elyse mentioned she was in contact with Dorinda, which prompted her to talk about her firing.
“I think Ramona had a lot to do with Dorinda being off the show,” Elyse said. “Do I think it was the right move? I wouldn’t be surprised if they brought her back.”
We could totally see Ramona running to production to tattle on Dorinda for bad behavior. As if Ramona has never embarked on a drunken rage before. This isn’t in the spirit of supporting other women, is it?
And we know Dorinda left on shaky circumstances after her tumultuous final season, where she spent the majority of the time attacking Tinsley Mortimer. Andy Cohen did say it wasn’t her nasty comments to Tinsley that got her fired, so Ramona is an educated guess.

Elyse also took a second to shade not only Ramona’s appearance (aka her plastic surgery procedures), but her business as well. “Do you really think Ageless By Ramona did that to her? Or ageless by scalpel?” Totally a good dig, since Ramona does like to pretend that her youthful looks are simply due to her rubbing some serum on her face. Like, she recently spent $80,000 on new teeth. No amount of skincare can make that look natural, and Bethenny has said the same thing.
But Elyse is also obviously throwing cheap shots to stay relevant. Her RHONY days are over and she needs something to do. She wasn’t exactly housewives material anyway, especially after she recently revealed she’s scared of almost the entire cast of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. But not everyone is cut from the same cloth as Teresa Giudice and Tamra Judge, and it’s probably best that way.
