Margaret Josephs Insists She Was “Concerned” About Jennifer Aydin’s Drinking; Says She Didn’t “Shame Her”

Reality TV

Margaret Josephs Real Housewives Of New Jersey

During the most recent episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice had a pool party. She is living her best single life, and even invited “pool boy” Tony Delorenzo.

Of course, the alcohol was flowing. And RHONJ co-star Jennifer Aydin told her husband, Bill Aydin, that she intended to cut loose. Jennifer got her hands on the tequila, and well, mission accomplished! It was concerning that Jennifer was so drunk that she gracefully slid down and landed with her face on the cement. Her husband carried Jennifer safely to his  car.

According to Page Six, in her RHONJ confessional, Margaret Josephs voiced her thoughts about Jennifer at the pool party. “I’m all about a good time, but this is not the first time that I’ve seen ‘Tequila Jennifer.’ This is falling into, like, serious drinking issue problems,” Margaret said.

Margaret spoke out about her comments when a viewer questioned her on social media. She tweeted, “Did I shame her or was I concerned? When anyone’s drinking turns a corner on any given night male or female I’ll say something,” Margaret wrote. “It’s not empowering someone when you don’t hold them accountable and be honest with them.”

The Twitter account @housewifegifs posted a photo of Margaret from the pool party with the comment, “The girls are eyeing down Jennifer like she murdered someone when’s she’s…just having a good time? #RHONJ

One user commented, “Why was it funny when Jen’s husband got wasted and had to be carried but it’s bad when it’s Jen…what about Joe [Benigno] puking in the bushes, why no judgement on him over drinking.” That is an interesting point about the double standard.

“Maybe they were just concerned. I would be too if my friend got that drunk. Would worry about her too if she were my friend,” another fan tweeted.
One user tweeted a GIF of Jennifer dabbing her eye, commenting, “When Jennifer Aydin got so wasted that 3 men had to carry her back to her Ferrari…ICONIC #RHONJ.

Jennifer posted on Instagram about the infamous pool party. “Who wants to get turned up with me tonight?! Tune in to see the epic Pool party and my knight in shining armor @aydinplasticsurgery take care of me,” Jennifer wrote. “People ask me if I have any regrets about that day- Only 1….not getting a spray tan. But- Oh Well, Que Sera, Sera!” In the accompanying video, Jennifer sang the chorus from Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps’ song, “Money Can’t Buy You Class.” Jennifer added, “Song credit @countessluann Video credit @edigangi4 #RHONJ.”

RHONY star Leah McSweeney, who is no stranger to over-imbibing at parties, responded to Jennifer’s Instagram post. “People act like they’ve never seen someone get drunk before! Judgmental herbs!” Leah wrote.

In February, Jennifer discussed her alcohol use. “I’m not an alcoholic, I just like to have a good time,” she stated. “You have to understand, I’m a social drinker. I I hadn’t been socializing in months, so [my] tolerance was non-existent before –like, it’s below zero.”

Jennifer was actually looking forward to seeing the RHONJ episode with Teresa’s party. She explained, “Those clips that you saw from that pool party that I don’t even remember –It’s all in fragments to me. So, I’m actually excited to see that episode to see what other people saw.”
