Bethenny Frankel Slams Meghan Markle For Generating Press While Claiming She Wants Privacy

DO NOT USE- Bethenny Frankel Meghan Markle

Tonight is Oprah Winfrey’s big interview with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, where they’re expected to slam the media, the Royal Family, and probably some people I haven’t thought of yet.

They’ve claimed that they want privacy, yet they started a podcast, signed a Netflix deal, and now they’re doing this tell-all interview. In Bethenny Frankel’s eyes, this doesn’t add up. And she ranted about the contradictions on Twitter.

Bethenny began, “Not since @MonicaLewinsky interview, have people been obsessed with a young female interview like this #MARRY interview. Remember the famous lip gloss?”

In response, someone said, “Who? Did I miss the new hashtag for Meghan & Harry, cause that’s the only interview I’M waiting to see.”

After that, Bethenny tweeted, “I just made it up but it seems to be on point #MARRY. I talk about this a bit on my #justbwithbethenny podcast rant. I think she is in the movie Poseidon Adventure, thinking she is going to the top of the boat…. Of course, she’s promoting her own podcast while complaining about one of the most-talked-about women in the world. Sounds about right.

A Twitter user shared, “I’ll pass on that [interview] thanks, my empathy is now with the staff who were bullied [by Meghan].” And then, someone else shared some screenshots of negative headlines about Meghan and wrote, “Yeah cause the staff were so respectful of her.”

Bethenny saw that and went in. She tweeted, “Cry me a river…the plight of being a game show host, fairly unknown actress, to suffering in a palace, w tiaras & 7 figure weddings for TWO WHOLE YEARS to being a household name w @Oprah on speed dial, fetching 7 m for interviews, hundreds of millions in media deals. #MARRY.”

Then, someone responded, “Considering what his mother endured, I think we can at least cut Harry a break here.”

And, of course, Bethenny responded by promoting her podcast (again). She tweeted, “I [100%] give Harry a break. This isn’t the way to generate less press & cannot be filed under the guise of wanting privacy to prevent a repeat of previous events. If you hate me for saying it here don’t listen to my podcast #justbwithbethenny it’s littered with my opinion.”

In another tweet, Bethenny explained, “I chose reality tv, to work towards making $, to be scrutinized & criticized.I took the trappings & the beatings along with it. It’s a rose w petals & thorns. People beg to enter the often toxic institution I signed up for. That WAS the life I chose. You can’t play stupid & smart.” Fair enough.
