During the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion episode, Lisa Barlow was upset with Heather Gay for how the audience perceived her. We all know reality TV is edited, we don’t get to see everything, blah blah blah.
Nevertheless, viewers can’t help forming opinions, which doesn’t always sit well with the cast members.
During an appearance on the Behind the Velvet Rope With David Yontef podcast, Lisa was asked, “What do you think the biggest misconception about you is from what we’ve seen so far?”
Without hesitation, Lisa said the biggest misconception is “I’m a bitch.” Lisa went on to explain, “And, you know what, being a bitch doesn’t make you a good boss. I’m not a bitch. I have a backbone. I have a strong personality.”

The Vida Tequila founder explained, “You know, I always tell my kids that a bad truth is better than a good lie. I would rather hear the bad truth, and sometimes, I’m giving you the bad truth. But, that doesn’t make me a bad person. It makes me honest.”
“And I would much rather have the honest friend around me than the liar,” Lisa declared. For example, she shared, “If I look fat, tell me I look fat because I’m gonna go change. Give me the opportunity to change. And, [that I’m a bitch] probably the biggest misconception.”

Lisa preached, “You can love yourself without being in love with yourself. I really like myself and that’s not a narcissistic thing. I think it’s a good thing. It’s called ‘healthy.’ You can’t love other people, you can’t give to other people, if you don’t love yourself.” Good point, Lisa.
She concluded, “I’m not in love with Lisa Barlow, I love Lisa Barlow. I care about myself. If I don’t, nobody else is going to. Take a look at this group of girls.”
