Christine Chiu Bling Empire

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finally cast its first Asian Housewife. Crystal Kung Minkoff has been filming for Season 11. However, there was almost another woman to fulfill that “first” for the show.

Bling Empire star Christine Chiu actually filmed for the show back in the day, but it didn’t work out. She has one version of the story and Brandi Glanville has another about the reason(s) why.

On a recent episode of her podcast Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, Brandi said, “I come across this show called Bling Dynasty.” Yes, she means Bling Empire.”

Brandi shared, “It’s like a new show on Netflix and I start watching it and my friend’s on it. So, Christine Chiu is her name and like five years ago, this is kind of wild…. On Housewives, they ask you to give the names of your friends that you think would make great Housewives. So, I gave her name and they loved her. And, then they wanted to film something with us, just to try it out.”

She claimed, “So, then, we filmed this big thing and… we had paparazzi when we left the place. And, so she got offered the job, and her family and seen the pictures of us leaving the place and they decided, because her family’s loaded, that they didn’t want her on Housewives for like the embarrassment of the family, possibly.”

“So, I see her on Bling Dynasty, acting just like she acts, which is a little bit nuts, but I love it,” Brandi said.  If she could do that, then obviously they changed their mind. If she could do that, she could easily now do Housewives. Brandi also remarked, “She’s so fun and crazy and she probably has so much more money than all of them.”

Brandi also complained, “I was ready to have a friend on [Real Housewives of Beverly Hills]. Jeez.” Then, Brandi admitted, “I just realized it was Bling Empire, not Bling Dynasty.”

Christine confirmed that she was almost a Housewife on Daily Pop, but she didn’t mention Brandi or disapproval from her family. Instead, she said, “I almost joined Season 4, but, unfortunately, we had a death in the family. And I didn’t feel like I could bring the best of me to the show. I am a much better spectator of Real Housewives than a participant, for sure.”
