Captain Lee Rosbach Slams Below Deck Charter Guest Delores For Jumping Into Water At Night

Reality TV

Captain Lee Rosbach Below Deck

Not everyone is into the cast shake-up of Below Deck this year. On top of that, there’s been non-stop turnover or talk of turnover this season. It still feels like we’re just getting into the good stuff at long last.

Either way, one of the most iconic moments of Below Deck or even Below Deck Mediterranean took place this season. The hilarious and enraging moment where charter-guest Delores jumped overboard at night. While Drunk. After Captain Lee Rosbach specifically demanded she didn’t. It was….a lot. Unlike other overboard moments we’ve seen, this was semi-hilarious. Delores just DILLIGAFed away while Lee absolutely spiraled.

In the end, Delores was given consequences, and she was booted off the charter first thing in the morning. On her tender ride back to shore this lady jumps BACK in the water. “Jump” is also a really graceful word for what this actually looks like. Either way, she goes BACK OVERBOARD! Truly unhinged. But it landed her some 15-minutes of fame.

Charter guest Delores appeared on Watch What Happens Live where she was subjected to Andy Cohen’s cross-examination. Delores shared, “You know, the water was just beautiful. I don’t know what to say, it was calling my name…I felt the need to bond with the ocean.”

When Delores was asked about Captain Lee’s direction that she not jump in, she replied,  “I do have a problem with authority.” YA DON’T SAY! She added, “The first time I remember getting in trouble was for jumping in the deep end of a pool, so I’ve always had a problem with jumping in the water. It is what it is.”

About whether or not she’d give an apology, Delores said, “I think that, no, I just didn’t take him seriously. There was no ‘man overboard’ protocol throwing out there.” One thing she did take seriously, was leaving the boat. Delores revealed, “When I went back to my room, I had already started packing because I was gonna call a water taxi to leave the same day anyway. So I think we were all on the same page there.”

Then Andy asked whether the second dive was an unofficial “f*** you” to everybody. Kooky Delores replied, “Water is just stunning and beautiful, and I was on vacation and wanted to be in the water.” Stay classy. Delores ended her appearance with, “My bad. My bad. Sorry to all the haters ’cause I like to swim.” I can’t. Is she from Mars?

Lee didn’t hold back on his response. When asked about his reaction to Delores’ comments, Lee said, “Not much. I think she’s totally delusional, to be honest.” Well that’s the truth. Captain Lee also added, “What she did was wrong. She shouldn’t have gone there. I told her not to go in the water. I don’t know what part about that she did not understand.”

He continued, “It’s very simple, I was very explicit, and it is dangerous to go swimming in the water at night. You can lose sight of somebody really, really quickly, and then you just don’t get it back.”

I think it became clear to fans just how serious this behavior was when Francesca Rubi shared her awful story of losing a former coworker in the water at night. Either way, Delores made her mark on this season. I hope it was worth it!
