Production on Real Housewives of New York has shut down in response to a coronavirus diagnosis for the second time.
The first time around, a crew member contracted the virus. This time, a cast member has coronavirus.
Deadline reported that production shut down for two weeks the first time that this happened. Apparently, “the positive case stopped plans for a roadtrip to update New York that would cap the season. That trip is now described as ‘postponed.’” The Bravo network has confirmed the show’s second production shut down.
Us Weekly claimed that the shutdown has “caused the rest of the cast to become stressed.” An inside source told the magazine, “Production shut down and now everyone is on standstill until the person who has COVID quarantines and then tests negative.”

Apparently they were “basically done filming but then someone tested positive and production had to stop immediately.” Page Six, the source that originally reported the news, teased, “We’re aware of their name, but we won’t identify them because they haven’t given us permission to do so. However, we’re told their symptoms are mild.”
Now, the fans (or at least I) can’t help wondering who got coronavirus. However, it doesn’t seem to be Ramona Singer, since she posted about filming her confessional interviews the day that this news broke.

Sonja Morgan, Leah McSweeney, and Luann de Lesseps will be a part of the cast yet again. Eboni K. Williams joined Real Housewives of New York as the first Black New York Housewife. Bershan Shaw is reportedly filming with the cast in a part-time role.
