Gabriel Garzón-Montano Covers Tweet and Missy Elliott’s “Oops (Oh My)”: Listen

Music, News

Gabriel Garzón-Montano has shared a cover of Tweet and Missy Elliott’s 2002 Timbaland-produced hit “Oops (Oh My)” for Spotify Singles. The track is paired with an alternate version of his Agüita song “With a Smile.” Check them both out below.

Garzón-Montano has performed “Oops (Oh My)” at shows for years; his new version of “With A Smile” swaps in keys for the guitar, and is a tribute to “master teachers Prince, Dr. Dre, Sly Stone and Trent Reznor,” according to the artist. Check out his full statement on the singles below, too.

It was a joy to finally record a cover of this absolutely classic banger in “Oops.” I’ve been doing this song live for as long as I can remember and it was an honor to collaborate on the production with my brothers Spacepeople and Armando Young. Our rework of “With a Smile” is a loving tribute to master teachers Prince, Dr. Dre, Sly Stone and Trent Reznor. We recorded these at Signal Corps with Arun Pandian and did post production at Bombo Fabrika and Castillo D.
