Charli Burnett shades Jax Taylor after ‘Vanderpump Rules’ exit

Jax Taylor may be done with “Vanderpump Rules,” but his drama with one of his former co-stars lives on.

New SUR-ver Charli Burnett took to Twitter after Taylor announced that he and his wife, Brittany Cartwright, were done with the Bravo series on Friday, saying alongside the wink-face emoji: “I guess I do know my role, and it’s employed.”

Burnett’s tweet seemed to call back to the Season 8 reunion where she called the former bartender an “old man,” a “bully” and “retired.” Taylor responded via Twitter, saying: “Last time [I] checked, 50-year-old men are the only reason that chic[k] can survive in this town. Know your role sweetie. Don’t throw rocks in glass houses.”

Taylor, 41, and Cartwright, 31, have not responded to Burnett yet, but Cartwright’s friend Zack Wickham responded, “Who are you?” alongside the face with an eye-roll emoji.

The reality couple, who is currently expecting their first child together, revealed via Instagram on Friday that they were exiting the series. Taylor was a fixture on the show since its inception in 2013. Cartwright joined when she moved from Kentucky to Los Angeles to be with Taylor midway through the show’s eight-season run.

Fans had been petitioning for Taylor to exit the show after Max Boyens, Brett Caprioni, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired in June for their allegedly racist behavior.

The status of the show is currently unclear.
