Sonya Blade Actress Kerri Hoskins Puts on the Iconic Costume 25 Years After ‘Mortal Kombat 3’ [Image]

When Sonya Blade made her return as a playable fighter in Mortal Kombat 3, the character was played by newcomer Kerri Hoskins, who brought the franchise mainstay to new levels of popularity. She later reprised the role in Mortal Kombat 4 and even played Sonya live on stage in the traveling show Mortal Kombat: Live Tour, cementing herself as a true MK icon.

Twenty five years after the 1995 release of Mortal Kombat 3, Kerri Hoskins has put the iconic costume back on for a fun photo she just shared over on her Instagram page today.

Hoskins writes, “Finally, after 25 years and many requests…I put the costume back on. Here’s #sonyablade at 50. Go ahead, compare her to the 25 year old Sonya. I don’t care. This Sonya fights harder, protects her family fiercely and loves with all her heart. Be kind. Help when you can. Never hate. ❤️ God Bless you all.”

She adds, “I’ll keep posting more Sonya photos in the future. You will see them here first.”
