Hannah Ferrier Wishes She Got To Work With Chef Rachel Hargrove On Below Deck Mediterranean

Reality TV

Hannah Ferrier may have been fired from Below Deck Mediterranean, but she is still following the franchise.  Case in point are the Tweets that Hannah shared regarding Below Deck’s new chef, Rachel Hargrove.  She seems to be speaking in support of Rachel after an episode in which Chief Stew Francesca Rubi shaded her uncouth sense of humor.

It’s no epiphany that charter chefs are difficult.  Both Hannah and Kate Chastain struggled to deal with challenging personalities in the galley.  No one more so than Hannah.  She got Mila Kolomeitseva, who licked steaks and used box pancake mixes.  Then there was Tom Checketts and his mansplaining tantrums.  Adam Glick cooked decently, but belittled the interior staff.

So it’s no wonder that Hannah is questioning her karma now that, after her firing, Bravo has gifted one of the most talented and entertaining chefs to the new chief stew.

If anyone needs a run down of the horror chefs that Hannah has had to deal with, read the following Tweet.  “I loved Ben [Robinson] and Kiko [Loren].  Kiko was never given a chance by Sandy [Yawn].  I want him to come back.  Adam is a dick.  He has serious issues.  Total narcissist.  I like Rachel I hated Tom and his temper tantrums.  Malia [White]& Tom deserve one another miserable arrogant man/woman child.”

Hannah agreed that, “Kiko was awesome.” However, she had very  little luck with other chefs.

Hannah said as much on a recent tweet, implying that she was underwhelmed with the chefs cast alongside her during her seasons.  She wrote, “what I would have given to work with Rachel.  Seriously- I put in 4 seasons and get a chef that microwaves steak and Francesca is a newbie and gets the best chef in the history of the Below Deck franchise….?!  Doesn’t seem fair.”

Rachel replied, “thank you!!!  It would have been great to work with you as well…Congratulations on your new family.”

It’s unclear whether Hannah and Rachel knew each other prior.  But watching the season, it’s clear that Rachel has the talent and confidence to rock the galley.  It’s been the female in the galley success story that has eluded Bravo until now.

Notably, Rachel has not been getting the needed support from Francesca in the galley.  Francesca is often MIA when dishes need to be run and does not appreciate Rachel’s bawdy language.

Hannah tweeted that she finds the new chef hilarious.  “Pleasure!!  I would have LOVED your R-rated humour- and probably matched it,” Hannah replied to the above-mentioned tweet from Rachel, “all the best for the rest of the season.”

Rachel is, hopefully, here to stay.  She’s been a great addition to the season.
