Whitney Rose Worries About How Being On Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City Will Affect Her Kids; Says “I’m A Damn Good Mother”

Whitney Rose Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City made its debut, and I am here for it! I love the new faces, diversity, and fresh location.

A couple of the RHOSLC ladies already stand out, and Whitney Rose is one of them. During the premiere, Whitney renewed her vows with her husband, Justin Rose, to celebrate 10 years of marriage.

The couple had a torrid affair when they were both married to other people. After Whitney got divorced, she and Justin were basically kicked out of the Mormon Church. In her confessional, Whitney explained, “It is a very big deal that I’m not Mormon anymore.”

At the party following their vow renewal, Whitney showed off her moves on a stripper pole. It seems that Whitney’s free-spirited attitude rubs some of her RHOSLC co-stars the wrong way. Lisa Barlow supposedly accused Whitney of being a swinger, and I don’t think she was referring to the stripper pole. Lisa’s bestie, Jen Shah, also goes after Whitney this season.

But Whitney has gotten some sage advice about being on reality television from Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney. Katie is from Utah, so she understands Whitney’s background. Hopefully Whitney didn’t get too many pointers from Katie. Scowling on camera and sulking around your house all day is not a good look.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Whitney discussed her concerns about how being on television could impact her kids. Justin and Whitney have a 10-year-old daughter, Bobbi, and a 7-year-old son, Brooks. Whitney quipped that her kids have “two strikes against them” in Utah. The first is that they’re not Mormon, and the second is their mom is a Real Housewife.

Whitney explained, “I really worry for my children in the community, because what their friends’ parents maybe now view, or think of Justin and I.”

“As wild as I am, as much fun as I have, choices I make, I’m a damn good mother and they’re my first priority,” Whitney stated. “That was my biggest hesitation going into this.”

She, “It’s going to be seen in both ways, I think, of disgust or dislike, but also if it’s profitable, it might be a good thing for Salt Lake City.” That’s a good point.

“As long as we stay respectful — you know, it’s predominantly Mormon here. I think you can be respectful, but be truthful,” Whitney added.
