Next-Gen Versions of ‘Control Ultimate Edition’ Delayed to 2021

Horror

Those waiting for the next-gen version of Remedy Entertainment’s Control will have to wait a little longer, as the studio stated via Twitter that the PlayStation 5/Xbox Series X version of their hit psychological thriller will be delayed from its original “end of 2020” release. The new release window is slated for “early 2021”.

Remedy Entertainment explained in a post to Twitter that the team wants the final quality of the game to be “awesome”, and as such, they need more time to work on it.

Don’t worry, as was stated before, those who purchase the recently-released Control Ultimate Edition on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X versions free of charge.

Control Ultimate Edition is out now on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
