Survios Inc. and AMC have released a new patch for The Walking Dead Onslaught that addresses many of the concerns players had regarding the game’s combat system and walker behavior. Known as the “Rebalance Patch,” the new update provides an overall improved experience for players on all platforms, including Steam, Oculus Rift, and PlayStation VR.
Among the changes made to the game include a significant overhaul to ranged and melee weapons, as well as walker aggression and difficulty changes. For those frustrated in the early game, progression has been eased, which involves more food in the early game, and a change in the first time user Scavenger site mission.
Lastly, Valve Index users now have improved grip controller compatibility that allows players to interact with the environment, grab pickups, and choke walkers using the Index’s grip sensor in addition to the default trigger input.
The Walking Dead Onslaught is available now for Steam, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR. Physical editions of the game will be available this month at select retailers.
