Wendy Osefo Slams Karen Huger; Says Karen Puts On A Persona For TV

Wendy Osefo Real Housewives Of Potomac

Whew boy. The latest episode of Real Housewives of Potomac still has me SHOOK. The fight between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard finally went down, in all its glory. Both women have taken to social media to tell their sides of the story. And it looks like the cast is busy taking sides.

But that’s not the only drama happening between the ladies of Potomac. In fact, there is plenty happening off screen. Many fans have quickly taken to new housewife, Wendy Osefo. But has the cast?

According to Wendy, not so much. Wendy dished on Karen Hugerduring an interview with  Showbiz CheatsSheet. Apparently, Karen, The Grand Dame herself, didn’t give Wendy the welcome she deserved. “She was the least welcoming. Karen struggles with fighting to put up a persona of who she wants to be on TV versus who she really is,” Wendy said. This revelation doesn’t surprise me at all, given how cold Karen was to Wendy in the first few episodes. So what’s the issue?

Wendy continued, “Karen is a testament that no matter where we are in our life, people still have their own insecurities and their own struggles. And so she’s just struggling on whether she wants to be who she represents herself to be, or who she really is. So that’s par for the course for Karen.” What a read that was.

Although Wendy got the cold shoulder from Karen, she didn’t think it was hard to join the cast of RHOP. There were already established friendships in place but Wendy went in with a certain attitude to help get through it. Wendy claimed, “I want to meet these ladies. I want them to meet me.”

She also went on to say, “And I didn’t necessarily feel as though I was trying to break a tough cookie. If that makes sense? I’m a sorority girl. I come from that background. Get to know other women and starting friendships with women. So for me, it was just par for the course. It was fun.”

It’s nice to hear that Wendy is still coming off the season with a positive outlook on it. After the most recent episode, I’m guessing some of the other ladies can’t say the same.
